About the Production
CLUE: A BURLESQUE MURDER MYSTERY is a full 60-minute burlesque stage production. It’s a night of striptease, comedy and mystery: a game to die for! Our detective host (Rapid Fire Theatre’s Julian Faid) guides the audience through his investigation, as he tries to solve the murder of Mr. Boddy. Who of the six players of this famous game committed the crime, where did it take place, and which weapon was used? The show kicks off with a group choreography which introduces this famous cast of suspects. Then, our detective host (with the help of the ghost of Mr. Boddy) interviews each suspect one-by-one, in an unorthodox form of questioning which looks very much like a burlesque striptease…
Meet the Producers
Beau Creep is an Edmonton-based, interdisciplinary performance artist, host and producer. He has garnered international attention, appearing on stages across Canada, USA, and Europe as well as received numerous awards for his over-the-top stage shows. Combining the satire and “punk-factor” of neo-burlesque with the effervescence and sophistication of classic striptease, Beau uses his background in improv-theatre, clown, and sideshow to paint elaborate commentaries on pop culture and current socio-political issues. He produces the quarterly review All Tease All Shade and is a Board member for the Edmonton Burlesque Festival.
The “good girl of Edmonton burlesque”, LeTabby Lexington is a trained actor, clown and burlesque performer who has appeared in Nashville, Knoxville, New York, New Orleans and across Canada, sharing the stage with burlesque stars such as Angie Pontani, Judith Stein, Murray Hill, Burgundy Brixx, Raven Virginia and April O’Peel. LeTabby is the co-founder of Send in the Girls Burlesque, House of Hush Burlesque, and Burlesque Dueling Divas, as well as the producer of weekly show Bourbon & Burlesque, and the force behind “Show Us Your Noobies”.
“The Untouchable Tease”, Violette Coquette evokes Golden Age glamour, and is known for her grace, musicality and contagious delight on stage. Prior to burlesque, Violette trained and competed as a latin ballroom and salsa dancer, and was ranked in the top 3 competitive Amateur On-2 salsa dancers in North America. As a burlesque artist, Violette has performed across Canada, Europe and the United States, including MELT Club in Stockholm, the 2018 New Orleans Burlesque Festival, the 2017 London Burlesque Festival, 2018 Texas Burlesque Festival, 2018 Oregon Burlesque Festival. In 2018 she performed with House of Hush at the Burlesque Hall of Fame’s "Movers, Shakers and Innovators" Showcase in Las Vegas. She is the co-founder of House of Hush Burlesque and The Canary Room, and produces two monthly speakeasy-style burlesque shows at Crash Hotel in downtown Edmonton.
